Port is a fortified wine produced exclusively in the Douro valley in northern Portugal, named after the town of Porto. The wine produced is fortified by adding aguardente, a neutral grape spirit, and is then aged in barrels stored in a cave.Sherry is a spanish fortified wine made with white grapes, primarily the Palomino grape, grown near the town of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia. Due to the fermentation and fortification processes involved in making sherry, most are initially dry and the sweetness is later added.
Aromas of ripe berry fruit with a delicate nuttiness and notes of chocolate. Smooth and silky on the palate and full of ripe figs, jammy and nutty flavors and a long finish.
This amber-colored sherry has a surprisingly full body for a dessert wine. It exhibits a nice variety of sweet and noticeable nutty flavors, with pleasant undertones of toffee and roasted nuts. Great with dessert or as a dessert by itself.
Deep youthful ruby color. Intense rich fruity nose crammed with pure blackberry, cassis, cherry and plum aromas interwoven with notes of spice. The palate is full bodied and round, with a smooth velvety texture balanced by firm mouth filling tannins. The juicy black fruit flavors linger into the rich luscious finish.
